Free Coolers (sometimes called Dry Air Coolers or Air Blast Coolers) can be used as a cooling solution in their own right or to provide free cooling for a significant proportion of the year when used in conjunction with a Chiller.
Our Free Coolers are available with multiple fixed fan speeds, inverter speed control and EC fans for varying noise applications as well as on low energy systems. The units control panels are designed to offer ease of use with a ‘plug and play’ solution and 4G connectivity. They can be configured to meet your individual project requirements such as low noise, space restrictions and aesthetics and integrate with BMS. Furthermore, environmental considerations can also be taken into the system design providing coatings and components for offshore and coastal environments.
If footprint is at a premium, Chillers with integrated Free Cooling provide a good alternative.
Free Cooling - How does it work?
When the ambient temperature drops 1°C below the process return fluid temperature, a 3-Way valve diverts the returning process fluid through the Free Cooler – taking some of the strain from the Chiller’s operation. At 5°C below the process return fluid temperature, all of the cooling can be carried out by Free Cooler. Watch our video for more information or download our leaflet.
