A standard cooling system provides a building or process with cooled water. Within a chiller the heat energy is taken from the process via the evaporator and pushed through a compressor to the condenser coil where fans draw in air to cool liquid refrigerant running through the condenser coil, bringing the temperature down to the required set point and transferring the unwanted heat energy into the atmosphere. The cold water is then fed back into the chillers’ evaporator where it is fed back to the process or building, allowing the cycle to begin again.
The heat which is removed from the process in the atmosphere can be re-used for other applications to reduce your energy costs and improve your green credentials.
