With tight margins, dairy farmers need energy-efficient and low maintenance cooling systems and it’s where ICS Cool Energy’s solutions work hard for all sizes of businesses, including one of Yorkshire’s finest – family run TD Goodall.
With a herd of some 200 dairy cows needing daily milking, producing around 50,000 bottles every week, efficient and effective cooling for the pasteurisation process is essential and ICS Cool Energy’s solutions have worked for the business for over 20 years.
The hygienic milk cooling process requires rapid cooling from 39°C to 4°C after pasteurisation so it can be bottled on-site before being stored to preserve its shelf life prior to distribution throughout the county.
- TAE 201 Chiller (i-Chiller range has since been introduced)

“Our chillers are designed and built to stand the test of time, offering robust and reliable operation for thousands of dairy farmers, food producers and all types of manufacturing across the UK, Europe and beyond. And TD Goodall is the living proof of that as our system has been in place for many years with only minor maintenance and we’re just about to upgrade that as we help with their business change and growth,” said Richard Metcalfe, ICS Cool Energy Sales Director.
Ed Goodall added:
“The chiller has served us really well, helping us to produce fine quality product year on year. ICS Cool Energy is also there for us to provide support for any maintenance issues as well as back up hire equipment if anything did go wrong and that’s very reassuring.”
