From small beginnings to international temperature control leader.
ICS Cool Energy was originally formed in 1989 as Industrial Cooling Systems with depots in Bradford and Southampton. Expansion continued in the mid-nineties, with the company opening new offices throughout the United Kingdom.
In 2003, Cool Energy, a specialist temperature hire company was formed which then merged in 2005 with Industrial Cooling Systems, to form ICS Cool Energy Ltd. ICS Cool Energy expanded into Germany, Switzerland, Benelux and France and grew revenue by more than 20% CAGR from 2013 to 2018.
In January 2018 ICS Cool Energy Ltd was acquired by Ingersoll-Rand PLC, a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments.
In 2020, Trane Technologies was formed out of the Ingersoll-Rand acquisition of Thermo King in 1997 and Trane in 2008. Along with a diverse portfolio of top companies in the industry, Trane Technologies sets its sights on creating a sustainable future for our planet.
Today, ICS Cool Energy offer an unrivalled range of temperature control solutions for critical and manufacturing processes including rental, capital equipment sales, planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown support across all industries Europe wide.
