ICS Cool Energy Introduces HVO Fossil-Free Diesel Fuel for More Sustainable Heating
From April 1st, 2022, ICS Cool Energy will introduce the Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fossil-free, diesel fuel as an option for its generator, boiler and heater hire product portfolio.
The biodegradable HVO is a more sustainable fuel alternative to traditional diesel and leads to even 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions as well as Nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter pollution (PM) from the burner or engine, with unchanged performance. The HVO biodiesel can be used as a drop-in replacement or mixed with regular diesel, with no requirements for engine or burner modifications or more frequent maintenance intervals.
“Sustainability is at the core of ICS Cool Energy’s business. With our eMission Critical initiative, we have set ambitious plans to reduce carbon emissions from our products and thus help our customers to reduce impact upon the environment and achieve their sustainability targets,” said Dave Palmer, general manager for UK and Ireland at ICS Cool Energy. “By approving and validating the use of HVO in our heating hire solutions we give our customers another option to increase the sustainability of their operations.”
ICS Cool Energy offer industrial boiler hire all year round for hot water, heating and process temperature control applications with up to 2MW of capacity, delivering temperatures of 90°C for industries, buildings and applications of all sizes. The portable heater range contains fan heaters, IDF heaters, radiators and more with capacities up to 200kW, suitable to provide a wide range of temperatures for events and longer-term installations.
Additionally ICS Cool Energy offers fuel management service, fuel sales and deliveries or an all-encompassing solution, including nationwide fuel monitoring and fuel management, as part of the hire agreement. ICS Cool Energy can track customer’s fuel levels using ICSLink remote monitoring service, to provide real time information and fuel level alarms throughout the hire project without having to visit site.
