Planned Preventative Maintenance
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) falls into our company ethos of keeping industry running. Maintenance is preventative, and as such carrying out regular maintenance on your equipment ensures your plant and processes remain operational.
The more frequent the checks the better, whether by us or by a site-based team, catching an issue early is less costly and means less downtime.
- Safeguard against downtime
- Trusted service partner and manufacturer
- Complete peace of mind
- Van stock for first time fix
- £50m+ of UK based support stock
- Business Continuity Plans to keep your process operational

We offer four main options for PPM’s – standard, timed response, advanced and a bespoke offering. Don’t mistake our standard offering as substandard, we pride ourselves in having one of the most comprehensive offerings (over 100-point check) in the industry.
We carry out the usual regulatory F Gas checks but go above and beyond to ensure your equipment is checked over thoroughly and given a clean bill of health. We even check the water quality to make sure this remains in specification.
If we find anything out of place, we give clear advice on what you need to do to bring the equipment back to full operation condition to ensure your plant remains efficient and delivering to your process as often as you are.
For those critical processes, we offer a timed response option. A priority breakdown service means we are on site within a defined number of hours to ensure your process and equipment remains operational.
Are you a multi-site manufacturer? Our Advanced offering has you covered; enhanced reporting, asset management, contingency planning, ring fenced temporary equipment and ready for hire means you have everything you need on a regular basis, all in one place. We ensure you are informed, and your business remains operational no matter what.
Need some of each of the above? No problem – contact us and we will be happy to talk through your needs no matter how small or large. We keep industry running.
ICS Protect
ICS Protect is a comprehensive service agreement. It is designed to provide operating efficiency, prolonging your systems’ lifespan, and assist you in cutting costs.
With an ICS Protect Agreement, your equipment will receive regular inspection, preventative maintenance and proper calibration. Any potential problem will be corrected before anyone at your site becomes aware of it.
Choose from the level of coverage, bronze, silver or gold, and you will know exactly what service levels and parts are covered. This will eliminate the risk of high cost repairs and enable you to predict your maintenance costs.

Courtesy Rental
When operations are critical and downtime is not an easy option, plan a courtesy rental with your service contract. In the same way a garage offers a courtesy car when your car needs work during a service, we offer the same for your chiller
As an option with a service contract, we’ll add a 4-week courtesy rental should a planned maintenance visit or emergency breakdown require your equipment to be out of action for a while.
What’s more, whether a courtesy rental or paid rental we’ll extend the rental period free of charge for the duration of critical parts lead-time if parts delivery is later than quoted.
Remote Monitoring
Total visibility of your temperature equipment on you PC, laptop, phone and tablet. Enhanced monitoring giving both a live condition update and history of your equipment, with thresholds bespoke to your requirements which brings peace of mind when you’re not there.
Capture trends, change set points, see power consumption in a way to suit you. Capable of visibility and control beyond the directly connected equipment. Flexible agreements.

Fuel Management
Along with industrial boiler rental and fuel delivery we offer a full fuel management service to notify you fuel usage and when levels reach thresholds. We then deliver your fuel top ups within 24 hours.

Water Treatment & Glycol
You can see your equipment; it stands in front of you right over there. What you can’t see is the fluid that circulates within the equipment.
Our water treatment is designed to keep your process operational, keeping your industry running efficiently and reliably. We know full well that understanding the chemical makeup of what might look like water is complicated.
We simplify this for you, we take a sample, send it off to an independent laboratory and issue a report than you can understand with clear advice to maintain your equipment or carry out a repair. All of which we do in house be it glycol, inhibitor, biocide or a full flush.
Water quality affects the longevity, efficiency and reliability of your process equipment.
It’s essential that your system fluid is checked, maintained and treated regularly to avoid problems such as corrosion, bacteria and system fouling which will ultimately lead to equipment and process system failure, inconvenience and expense.
The first step to good quality water is to implement a water treatment plan. As part of our planned preventative maintenance contracts, ICS Cool Energy now carry out as standard, sampling and independent laboratory analysis.
An easy-to-read report is issued, indicating any defects which fall outside of the recommended parameters.
A detailed action plan is then created and can be implemented for you – returning and maintaining the quality of your water to best practice standards.
Benefits
- Prevent system degradation by regular monitoring and treatment
- Increase system efficiency
- Increase the life of your system and equipment
- Reduce maintenance and repair costs
- Protect the quality of your process system
Oil Analysis & Refrigerant Circuit Maintenance
The only contents within a refrigerant system should be refrigerant and oil. Modern polyester oils are very hydroscopic. Every time intrusive work is carried out, moisture is inadvertently allowed to enter the system.
Moisture mixed with polyester oil turns into acid, which leads to system degradation and component failures. Acid attacks the electrical insulation within compressor motor windings – eventually leading to an electrical compressor failure or what is commonly called a “burn-out”.
ICS Cool Energy can analyse the oil within your refrigeration circuit to identify early signs of potential failure, noting moisture, acid and metallurgy. We’ll then make recommendations in line with the results.
Preventative action can increase the life of components and prevent expensive compressor failures if caught early.
Our highly qualified engineers utilise our Ref-Cleanse system which provides a cascade, triple filtration process. The system components are segregated, and refrigerant flushed through each area.
All contaminates including oil, carbon, debris, sludge and any trace of moisture are completely removed from the circuit which is returned to an “as new” status. Additionally, we can recycle contaminated refrigerant that would normally have to be disposed of, reducing impact on the environment and creating considerable savings.
