ICS Cool Energy Announces FLEX Membership, a Flexible Long-term Exchange Scheme for Process Cooling and Heating
ICS Cool Energy, an international market leader specialising in complete temperature control solutions for manufacturing process and facilities applications, announced today the FLEX Membership, its new and enhanced flexible long-term exchange programme. The new subscription offering gives manufacturers access to the latest process heating and cooling equipment with the flexibility of an operating expense. With FLEX Membership, customers can transform their process temperature control system from a fixed asset into a dynamic solution that will be up-to-date with their changing business and process needs.
The new FLEX Membership programme from ICS Cool Energy packages a complete process temperature control solution including equipment, preventive and 24/7 emergency maintenance, replacements, and upgrades. The elements of the FLEX Membership all-inclusive, monthly rate contract are tailored to the process’ needs and based on a detailed assessment by ICS Cool Energy engineers. Customers receive the right temperature control solutions for their process needs with the flexibility to adapt their capacity according to changing seasonal and operational requirements.
“We believe the FLEX Membership subscription business model will be a game changer in how manufacturers approach their process cooling and heating needs,” said Dave Palmer, general manager for UK and Ireland at ICS Cool Energy. “With FLEX Membership, our customers get bespoke systems installed in their processes – with no upfront cost and capital investment. They only pay for the temperature control they need and when they need it. Unlike in the case of a traditional long-term hire, they benefit from the flexibility to exchange and upgrade the equipment as their requirements change or technology improves. Adding to this the peace of mind of complete maintenance and contingency plans – there is no other offering like that on the market”
Subscribing to the FLEX Membership, manufacturers can think of their cooling and heating systems as an operating expense instead of capital investments and get the flexibility to pay only for what they use. The subscription includes variable rates for equipment in use, in standby and off-site, and the option for remote monitoring:
- In Use – when the process cooling or heating unit installed, connected and used
- Contingency on site – when the unit is held in standby at customer premises
- Contingency in-depot – when the unit is held in standby at customer’s local ICS Cool Energy depot.
The duration of the FLEX Membership subscription can last up to nine years with full new-for-old equipment replacement on renewal of the contract.
“The technology, industry standards and regulations are changing faster than the typical lifespan of a cooling or heating unit. FLEX Membership will give process, operations and facility managers the peace of mind that their investment won’t be obsolete and in line with the latest market innovations,” said Dave Palmer.
