Domestic Hot Water

1.3MW Boiler for DHW @ residential tower block.

As well as providing boilers for heating we also provide domestic hot water (DHW). To meet the strict hygiene requirement required for DHW we have a fleet of purpose built boilers as well as ancillaries. Our dual circuit Boiler Plant Rooms have two heat exchangers, one dedicated to heating and one dedicated to DHW. The DHW side is made from stainless steel and the load can be switched seamlessly between the two using a proportional valve. This means for example if one of our 300kw Boiler Plant Rooms is heating a hotel using all 300kw of its output and there is an increased demand for DHW let say everyone is getting up in the morning and running a shower then the boiler control system will prioritise the DHW to allow this short term demand to be satisfied. Once the morning ablutions are complete the controller will then divert load back to the heating circuit. Typically the DHW load is lower than the heating load and normally short lived so a single unit can be used to satisfy both demands minimising both space and cost.
