Which unit(s) will I need to cool my space?

Please take a look at our “Portables Calculator” just above the FAQ section. As long as you know the length and width of you space in metres the calculator will provide an instant cooling load and suggested model. To hire this unit please call us to arrange. In some cases, if the area in Metres is too large for a portable unit / large cooling load you will be directed to give us a call. This isn’t because we don’t have a solution but that we will require a little more information (possible site survey) to look at multiple portable units or a chiller/air handling unit/fan coil combination. In both cases the team will be pleased to help on 0800 840 4210.

What types of space cooling solutions do you hire?

We offer portable units up to 60kW but for larger projects, we can supply a chiller/air handling unit/fan coil combination to offer maximum comfort cooling in large spaces.

How long can I hire A/C equipment?

We have solutions to cover emergency breakdowns (a few days), seasonal requirements (months) or long-term requirements (many years).

Are your air conditioning solutions COVID-19 secure?

Following the latest advice from the Government, HVAC authorities and industry professionals, we have taken steps so that our customers and our staff are safe & our equipment is COVID-19 secure. This includes sanitising, the use of PPE and equipment handling.

What measure do you take to control the virus when designing air conditioning systems?

Fresh Air: it is recommended that the use of fresh air be maximised where possible for all HVAC purposes. The ratio of fresh air to recirculated air in your building should be increased to 50/50.

Filtration: it is recommended that filtration be used to trap airborne contamination and increase the cleanliness of the air. Please note there are no filters proven to block COVID-19. The use of HEPA filters have been demonstrated to affectively remove a higher percentage of droplets and particles from the air.

Humidity: Scientists believe that the spread of viruses is dramatically reduced when the Relative Humidity (RH) is between 40-60%. RH should be considered when designing an air conditioning system and steps taken to ensure it remains between 40-60% and this may include humidification and dehumidification if required.

If it is not possible to provide full fresh air or increase the fresh air ratio, what other measures can be taken?

You can consider the use of air purifiers, sometimes called air scrubbers. These units take air from within a room and pass through filtration and other sanitising processes.
