When a boiler providing domestic hot water for a district heating system on a military base just stopped working, the ICS Cool Energy hire team quick-marched into action with a boiler hire replacement and installation that restored full working order so the buildings were once again comfortable places for work, rest and play.
A central boiler has provided good service to a district heating and hot water system serving a range of 1960’s-built properties including housing, leisure centre, classroom and offices but its service suddenly packed up – making life very uncomfortable for the people living and working on site.
The ICS Cool Energy team put on their marching boots and were on site within hours. A single boiler was the source of the problem as it served several buildings on the site.
ICS Cool Energy delivered and installed a full ‘island operation’ system, with the strategic installation of various dual circuit boilers for each building, along with fuel tanks and the fuel management system which helps ensure the boilers don’t run out.
• Dual circuit boilers from the range 150kW-600kW
• Housed within steel containers for weatherprotection
• Packaged industrial hire boilers can be hired as complete packaged (flooded / run through) units or as single units with additional heat exchanger and calorifiers
A full site inspection was carried out within hours of receiving the call and the installation of temporary equipment was carefully planned and prioritised, restoring hot water and heating to the residential properties as a priority. It ‘bought’ time for full repairs and maintenance on the existing system.
ICS Cool Energy’s hire division is on call around the clock to provide fast, emergency response to minimise the impact of cooling and heating equipment breakdowns in all types of buildings as well as in the manufacturing environment.
With the UK’s largest range and fleet in stock and ready to go across the country, a full solution can often be on site and fully working within a day, providing temporary relief while repairs to an existing system are carried out, or to provide cover during planned maintenance works. The hire division also provides long term options an alternative to capital expenditure on plant and associated equipment.
“Within just a few hours one of our teams was on site to map out a rescue plan, delivering and installing temporary boilers so life could go on as normal while the main system was repaired. It’s what we do 24/7.”
